FAQ

  • When can I expect delivery?

Delivery time can vary depending on the work purchased. Original artwork can usually be processed within 3-5 business days. All prints are made to order and can take up to 10 days to process. Once shipping if factored in, you can expect your art to arrive in about 14 days. Metal prints may take longer. You will be notified via email if there is a delay with your shipping. You may expect delays around busy times, such as as the holiday season.

  • How is the artwork packed and shipped?

It depends! Original artwork is typically shipped via USPS. All paper and metal prints are made to order and will be shipped to you from directly from the printer.
Unframed prints will be sent to you in either a ridged mailer or tube. Framed prints and original artwork are wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap. Foam and other packing materials is used along the edges of the piece to secure the piece inside the box.

  • How difficult is installation?

Easy! You just need a hammer and hanging hardware. I recommend OOK Professional Picture Hangers. Each original work comes pre-wired. Framed prints come with a sawtooth hanger installed on the back and metal prints have an aluminum frame on the back.

For LED paintings, I recommend purchasing a cord cover or cable management system to conceal the power cord.

  • What do I need to know about the LED lights embedded in some of the paintings?

Flexible, waterproof and long lasting (roughly 1000 hours), your “neon” LED lights are nestled in a routed channel on a wood panel. The light (12v) connects to wireless connector and 8 ft (2.43 m) power cord. The power cord can be concealed behind drywall or a cord cover.

The light is bright enough to be clearly visible during the day and will create a lovely neon glow in a dimly lit room. The light is adjustable and can be dimmed using the app that can be synced with the device.

  • What is the lifespan of the LED light and how can I ensure the longest lifetime?

Generally, the LED light has a lifespan of around 8-10 years. Gradually, over the course of use the LEDs will fade to a gentle light and then switch off. If the piece is being used 24/7, I recommend switching it off for a 24-hour period every two weeks to ensure a long lifetime. Transformers and LEDs can overheat from constant use, decreasing their lifetime. Using a dimmer also enhances the lifetime of the light as well.

  • What if the light goes out or malfunctions?

Most of the LED paintings come with a backup light for easy replacement. However, if the light is hardwired into the piece or has a defect as a result of manufacturing or materials, email the studio at studio@sydneywalters.com as soon as possible for assistance. If you need to ship the piece to the studio to be replaced, you are responsible for properly packing the piece and paying for shipping. You must supply me with a tracking number. Your light will be repaired free of charge and sent back to you as soon as it’s ready!

Damage on the item or wear and tear caused by you cannot be replaced.
